Robert Duncan McNeill is a prolific television Director and Producer most recently serving as the Executive Producer/Director on the hit TV series RESIDENT ALIEN, starring Alan Tudyk. He was nominated in 2024 by the Hollywood Creative Alliance for an ASTRA AWARD for Best Director in a Broadcast or Cable Comedy Series for the season 3 finale episode HOMECOMING, which he also co-wrote. He also recently served as the Executive Producer and Director for the Twentieth TV/Disney+ series TURNER & HOOCH, starring Josh Peck.

Prior to that, he served as Executive Producer/Director for Marvel’s X-Men series THE GIFTED on FOX. In addition, he served as Executive Producer/Director on the series THE ARRANGEMENT for UCP/E! and GIRLFRIEND'S GUIDE TO DIVORCE for Bravo/UCP. He spent 5 years as the Producer/Director for the Warner Bros/NBC action comedy series CHUCK, starring Zachary Levi. He has directed over 100 episodes on shows ranging from sci-fi, action, drama and half hour comedies. He has also served as the Producer/Director for 666 PARK AVENUE for ABC and WHAT ABOUT BRIAN? for ABC.

He’s recognized as a top tv Pilot Director, having directed the Pilot episode of the hit comedy SAMANTHA WHO?, starring Christina Applegate that aired on ABC. He also directed the pilot of HEARTBEAT for Universal/NBC that went to series.

Robert spent the first 20 years of his career as an actor in numerous tv shows, films and Broadway. He trained at Juilliard Drama in Group 17. He is most recognized for the series regular role of Tom Paris in seven seasons of STAR TREK: VOYAGER, starring Kate Mulgrew. It was on STAR TREK where Robert first began directing and he directed episodes of numerous Star Trek series. In total, as an actor and director, Robert has worked on 4 different series of the STAR TREK franchise.
